Partnership: working towards for a better future TakeCare in association with Develop Addu, Maavahi NGO and Society for Development of Addu will be conducting a two day capacity building, training and networking workshop on 19th and 20th of June for all the NGOs based in Addu.
The main objectives of this session are:
a) Trust building and understanding the role and responsibilities of a strong civil society b) Exploring opportunities available for NGOs and funding opportunities by donor agencies for projects c) Familiarising leadership skills for development and success. d) Indentifying the challenges for NGOs and equipping with ways to measure development, how to collect and use data to make analysis of local situations and conditions.
Aim and Expected Outcome:
The aim of the workshop is to bring together NGOs to gain knowledge and to equip them to access information and donor agencies. The workshop will also focus on discussing pressing issues faced by civil society. At the completion of this 2 day workshop it is expected that the civil society will have a better and clear understanding of what are the aspirations of the community and how to address them through proper planning and management. It will also lay a foundation for future dialogue and partnership building initiatives.
We strongly recommend all NGOs based in Addu to participate in this workshop. Two people per NGO can get enrolled as participants. The workshop will be held at the Flying School premises,GAN and transportation for the participants will be arranged.
