Learn a foreign language (LAFL), a program by TakeCare primarily focused for youths of Addu, commenced on the 2nd of July 2010.

The first language that is been taught under LAFL is a crash course in German language. Twenty youths have participated in the one month crash course.

The language teacher of the German Course is Miss Alexxander Porrit  from UK. She is working with TakeCare as a volunteer.

Learn a Foriegn Language

Learn a Foreign Language is an initiative by TakeCare to provide interested youths with the opportunity to learn a foriegn language right here from Addu.

LAFL aims to enhance youth's employability especially in the tourism and hospitality industry and equip them in achieving there professional as well personal goals through learning different languages.

Under this program the first language course will be a crash course in German Language  scheduled to start on 2nd of July.

French Course is scheduled to start in September.

Applications forms are now available.

GREEN ADDU, the tree planting program in Addu

 About 30 volunteers from TakeCare will be participating in the GREEN ADDU program to be initiated on the occasion of World Environment Day, 2010.

The ultimate objective of GREEN ADDU program is making Addu a greener place. Under this program a large number trees will be planted throughout Addu in the days to come.

On this year’s Environment Day NGOs, civil servants, MNDF, Police Service and community members, will embark on this endeavor to make Addu the garden atoll of Maldives.

In Hithadhoo, GREEN ADDU program will kick off with the planting of about 300 trees on 5th June 2010 starting from 1630 hours.

HRCM Resoponds to Action Plan of TakeCare
